Professional Development System
5E-SESE professional development is designed so teachers engage in inquiry cycles of their own. After completing self-directed modules on fundamental concepts about the 5E-SESE teaching model and lesson planning, teachers go in more depth with their choice of modules about a science content standard (known as an Essential Element, or EE). Each EE module follows a five-step inquiry cycle.
